And the way we’re going to do that is by building communities of gamers and people who love cars and bring people together in new ways. “We say around here in the hall – in fact, I just got done doing a team meeting where I was talking to the team about this – that our ultimate goal is to shape the future of automotive entertainment. “In the last five years in particular it’s become almost acutely clear to me that we’ve really transitioned from a time where we were all about just making products, to a time where we’re trying to build community,” Greenawalt tells IGN. Of course, the news may still come as a surprise to some folks accustomed to the bi-yearly cadence of the Forza Motorsport series. ![]() Forza fans who have been tuning in to the team’s regular “Forza Monthly” streams have likely already surmised that this would be the case (during a stream in July 2018 Turn 10 creative director Chris Esaki stressed that, at that time, the entire team was still working on updates for Forza Motorsport 7, and in a more recent stream in March this year Forza franchise creative director Dan Greenawalt confirmed the team had only just begun shifting to a new project).

It is also designed to provide protection against overheating, short circuits, high and low voltages, overload, and a host of other potential issues. This pure sine wave RV inverter also provides a clean, consistent flow of power from your RV battery to the outlets and appliances that require alternating current (AC). It is rated to handle 2000 running watts and 4000 starting watts. The AIMS Power PWRI20012120S is the best pure sine wave RV inverter choice for anyone that needs a high level of surge protection and ample continuous power. In addition to reviewing several different types of RV inverters and suggesting their best use, I’ve also added a comprehensive buying guide below. Thankfully, I’ve done the research for you so you can use this article to choose the best RV inverter for your needs. If you find yourself in the position of needing a new power inverter for your RV, you’re probably finding a lot of options. The inverter will convert the DC input of your RV’s battery bank to a stable AC output that you’ll need to keep the essential appliances and electronics in your RV running. It’s one of those pieces of technology that largely does its job in an unheralded fashion until something goes awry.Īn RV inverter has its best use when your rig isn’t plugged into an AC electrical connection. Most RV owners probably don’t spend much regular time even thinking about the inverter in their rig. We’ll cover some of the basic differences later in the Buying Guide. This is important because not all of the appliances in your RV require the same type of current to operate efficiently.īack in the days of Thomas Edison and Nikola Tesla, there was a great debate between the pros and cons of alternating and direct current. Inverter technology allows your RV to convert direct current to alternating current, or vice versa. It’s an early step, but it’s very possible to setup some kind of system where you could click on any of the 300+ dmods on Dink Network and have them be (near) instantly playable right there in your browser. Choose a starting focus position either at or slightly in front of the closest point of the section of the subject that is in the desired depth of field. Using focus shift, the camera takes a series of shots starting from a selected focus position and continuing toward infinity. If diffraction were our focus, it could be minimized by shooting at maximum aperture, but, given the characteristics of the lens, a setting two to three stops lower, say f/2.8 to f/8, is in fact generally best if we also want to keep the definition image high right up to the edges. Specifically, we need to think about the aperture at which the lens performs best. In these circumstances, the way to get good depth of field without stopping the aperture down so far that pictures lose definition is by focus stacking.īecause we don’t need to worry about getting a deep depth of field with a single photo, we can instead consider how aperture can be adjusted to produce a high-resolution, high-definition image with each shot. And stopping aperture down increases diffraction, resulting in pictures that lack definition. Given the same aperture and a lens focal length chosen to produce the same picture angle, the large image sensors in FX format cameras and the like will show a shallower depth of field than smaller sensors, so you really have to stop the aperture down to get a deep depth of field. When it comes to focus stacking, it might seem natural to ask, ‘Why go to all that trouble when you can just stop the aperture all the way down?’ but it’s not that simple. This is precisely the sort of difficulty the D850’s “focus shift” feature, which automatically varies focus by a set amount over a set number of shots, was designed to solve. It used to be hard to change focus by the same amount with each shot, and unless you finished shooting quickly, there was a chance that the light would change or some other difficulty might arise, resulting in photos that were not suitable for focus stacking. Specifically, what was difficult was taking a series of photos while changing focus a small, fixed amount with each shot. Although dedicated focus-stacking software has been around for a while, the hard part was getting suitable high-quality image files. The technique of focus stacking allows you to enhance the depth of field in an image by taking a series of shots and generating a composite image consisting only of the areas that are in focus. The D850’s handy “focus shift” feature is used chiefly to create the images for focus stacking, which are then combined in optional third-party software to create a final image with extreme depth of field. Mona does have the benefit of being a ranged Catalyst user, and if you are uncomfortable with Childe’s Stance change mechanic, this iteration of a Vaporize team can be easier to play. Both teams have a high skill ceiling as strong knowledge of Elemental auras, Internal Cooldowns, and Omen Extension mechanic will allow the team to reach its highest potential. This team is essentially the ‘Childe Vaporize’ team but with Childe replaced by Mona. While her Burst may still be Vaporized in the sustained damage Vaporize team, it primarily focuses on her Hydro application, and she may also occasionally trigger Reactions with her Elemental Skill, Normal Attacks, and Charged Attacks. However, the Burst/Nuke team puts more emphasis on Vaporizing Mona’s Burst. This team bears some similarity to the burst damage/nuke playstyle since it often incorporates the ‘ Perfect Combo,’ especially in its first rotation. The sustained damage Vaporize team usually consists of Mona, Bennett, Xiangling, and an Anemo character of your choice. There is a known bug with Mona’s Elemental skill which is mentioned in the KQM Theorycrafting Library. This interaction can make it difficult for Mona to reliably generate Energy. Give with confidence today!Įrosion in a stable stream can be minimal from year to year, but as a meander moves outward and becomes more looped, flows intensify on the outer bends. Support our Natural Stream Restoration efforts to recreate stable channels based on the hydrology and hydraulics that shape natural channels. Further downstream, moving out of the bend, the channel straightens, and the channel cross-section becomes more uniform through the riffle. ![]() In these pool and bend sections, one side of the channel is significantly deeper. As every angler knows, deep pools form on the outer bends of meanders, with low sloping point bars of accumulated gravel or cobble on the inside bends. This process reinforces the riffle-pool structure of a stream. Meanders are produced when water in the stream channel erodes the sediments of an outer bend of a streambank and deposits this and other sediment on subsequent inner bends downstream. Remember, streams are transport machines, moving water and sediment from their watersheds relentlessly downslope. Streams meander to maintain equilibrium – a dynamically stable form and function. The geometry of the meander minimizes the amount of work, or energy expended, while using that same energy uniformly. Those bends and turns manage the energy of water, as it moves through and over channel terrain, by increasing resistance and reducing channel gradient. On broad, low-slope plains, streams thread back and forth. In steep topography, channels are straighter, influenced by slope and confined by valleys. They are sinuous, with channels that bend, curve, or loop. Due to erosion on the outside of a bend and deposition on the inside, the shape of a meander changes over time. This is why you often see sand bars and beaches on the inside of the curve. Why is this? Water is pushed to the outside of a bend, and erodes the curve further, while water on the inside is slower and deposits sediment. Once a meander starts, it often becomes more and more exaggerated. As a river makes its way through an area that is relatively flat, it often develops bends as it erodes its way through the path of least resistance. A meander is when water flows in a curvy, bendy path, like a snake. |
